As a dove's home terrain expands through training, they like to exercise their freedom by "tripping". The flock rises and circles, marks a known point from previous training and then sets off to explore the alternate directions.  As our birds hone their homing skills, you might find them just about anywhere in Eagle County. Eventually our release radius of 50 miles from our Ranch will take them into other neighborhoods.
